Who we are
RAJAT KUMAR FASHIONS, trading as ARTAJ, is responsible for the processing described in this notice. We are registered in Paris under RCS number 930 081 187.
For questions or to exercise your rights, email artaj.social@gmail.com.
Information we use
We process the information you provide when placing an order, contacting us or subscribing to our emails. This may include your name, email, billing and delivery addresses, telephone number where supplied, order details and correspondence. If you request sizing advice, we also process the measurements you choose to share.
Our store platform processes technical information needed to provide and protect the website, such as device and browser details, IP address, session information and interactions with the store. Payment providers process payment information to complete transactions. The provider and available payment methods are identified at checkout.

Required order fields are necessary to process your purchase. Without them, we cannot fulfil the order. Providing measurements for fit advice is voluntary, and the telephone field on our general contact form is optional.
Newsletter
If you subscribe, we use your email to send ARTAJ news, stories and product updates. You can unsubscribe at any time through the link in each email or by contacting us. Subscribing is optional and is separate from placing an order or accepting cookies. Necessary order and service emails are not marketing subscriptions.
Service providers & recipients
Our store uses Shopify. Information needed to operate the store is processed by Shopify and its service providers. Read Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy for information about its processing and your choices. Where Shopify acts as an independent controller for its own services, that processing is explained in its notice.
We also share necessary information with payment providers, delivery partners, providers supporting our email communications, and professional advisers where required for the purposes above. Competent authorities may receive information where the law requires it. Access is limited to information needed for the relevant task.
Processing outside the European Economic Area
Shopify and its international service-provider network may process information outside the EEA, including in Canada, the United States and Singapore. Transfers must be protected by an applicable adequacy decision or other lawful safeguards, including European Commission standard contractual clauses where required. Contact us for information about relevant safeguards and how to obtain a copy. Shopify describes its arrangements in its international data-transfer information.
Retention
We retain information only for the relevant purpose, then delete or anonymise it unless a legal obligation or dispute requires restricted retention.
- Orders and customer service: while fulfilling your order, returns and guarantees, then relevant contractual records are retained in restricted archives for up to five years after the end of the relationship, where necessary for legal claims. A dispute may require longer retention until its final resolution.
- Invoices and accounting documents: ten years from the end of the financial year concerned.
- General enquiries and fit advice: up to three years from the last substantive contact, unless linked to an order or dispute requiring the retention described above.
- Newsletter subscribers who have not purchased: until withdrawal of consent, or up to three years from subscription or the last active contact. Simply opening an email does not restart this period.
- Newsletter customers: until withdrawal of consent, or up to three years after the end of the commercial relationship or the last active contact.
- Unsubscribe records: limited suppression information is kept for at least three years after an objection, solely to respect your marketing choice. Consent records are retained as necessary to demonstrate compliance.
- Technical and security information: only as long as needed to operate the service, investigate security issues and prevent fraud. Information related to an identified incident may be retained until the investigation and any resulting legal proceedings are complete.
Cookies & similar technologies
Essential cookies support functions such as the basket, checkout, security and remembering your privacy choices. They do not require consent where the law exempts them.
Where optional analytics or marketing technologies are offered, they are used only after consent where required. The preference panel identifies the available purposes and providers and lets you accept, reject or make a category-specific choice. Closing the panel does not give consent. You can change or withdraw your choice using Cookie Settings in the website footer.
Cookie lifetimes depend on the function: session cookies expire when the session ends, while persistent cookies expire after their specified lifetime or when removed. Shopify explains its platform cookies in its Cookie Policy. Browser controls can also remove or block cookies, although blocking essential cookies may affect shopping features.
Your rights
Under the applicable conditions, you may request access, correction, erasure, restriction or portability of your personal information. You may object to processing based on legitimate interests and to direct marketing. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of earlier processing.
Contact artaj.social@gmail.com to exercise your rights. We normally respond within one month. If the law permits an extension because of the complexity or number of requests, we will inform you within that first month and explain why. Where reasonably necessary, we may request proportionate information to verify identity.
If an automated fraud or payment check results in a decision affecting your order, you may contact us to request an explanation and human review where applicable.
You can lodge a complaint with the French supervisory authority, CNIL, at cnil.fr/fr/plaintes.
Updates
We may revise this notice when our practices or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the latest version. Material changes will be communicated where required.
